Barnacles restaurant, formally known as the 'Barn' at Leicester Grange Farm, was built in 1758. Local history books reveal that the hand made bricks used in the construction of the barn were made from clay dug on site.
Leicester Grange originally comprised part of the land owned by the monastery at Coombe Abbey near Coventry and encompassed a large estate including a lake used for the farming of carp and eel for the monk's own consumption.
